In 2020, R. Berti Building Solutions was hired as General Contractor for the 14,000 sq. ft. addition and renovation of the Holy Family Catholic Church and School in Shorewood, Illinois. The first phase of the project involved creating a small room addition to the building that was temporarily used as a classroom and later the room was repurposed for storage and building maintenance. The main addition utilized a steel structure with a flat membrane roof and metal roofs, exterior masonry walls, Nichiha fiber cement siding and metal cladding. The addition features additional classrooms, meeting spaces, a student library and resource center, science laboratories and storage areas.
